Gayatri Joshi who is known for her role in Swades as Shahrukh Khan’s co-star was reportedly involved in a major car accident with her husband Vikas Oberoi. The incident took place in Italy. Gayatri confirmed the news of the accident to Free Press Journal and said that she and her husband were doing “absolutely fine”.
But the tragic accident left a senior Swiss couple dead with whom collision took place. Gayatri and her husband were on a vacation in Sardinia when this accident took place. Gayatri and Vikas’ car reportedly collided with several cars and a camper car.

What exactly happened?
During the Sardinia Supercar Tour, a multiple-car collision occurred, resulting in a fiery accident involving a Ferrari and a camper van. The collision happened as several luxury cars, including Lamborghini and Ferrari, attempted to overtake a large camper van on the road from Teulada to Olbia. This led to the collision of multiple cars and the overturning of the camper van. Unfortunately, the Ferrari caught fire as a result of the collision.
There was a Swiss couple who was traveling in a Ferrari car which caught fire. Sadly. both of them lost their lives. Their name was Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67, from Switzerland. Gayatri and Vikas have got minor injuries but they are safe.
Who is Gayatri Joshi?
Gayatri Joshi gained recognition for her role in the Indian film, Swades, in which she co-starred with Shah Rukh Khan. The movie was released in 2004 and marked her debut in the film industry. Prior to this, she won the Femina Miss India International title in 2000.

Interestingly, Swades remains her only film to date as she chose to step away from the industry and focus on her personal life. In 2005, she married businessman Vikas Oberoi. Although she has appeared in various advertising campaigns and music videos, her notable songs include “Kaghaz Ki Kashti” by Jagjit Singh and “Jhanjaria” by Hans Raj Hans.
