The Russia-Ukraine war which broke out in Feb 2022 with Russia launching a full-scale invasion does not seem to end. On Monday, the regional governor of Ukraine’s southern region of Kherson sent a message on the Telegram App. He said,” Russia’s shelling of Kherson killed one person and injured six, including two children overnight.”
Oleksandr Prokudin further added that “Russia has launched 71 attacks in the past 24 hours which aimed at the residential districts”, as well as shops and medical infrastructure across the region.“Twenty of the air and land attacks targeted the city of Kherson, the region’s administrative district, the governor added, while authorities promptly doused a fire sparked by shelling early on Monday.

Destruction caused by Russia to Kherson
On the night of 30 September – 1 October Russians also dropped 10 Air bombs on Kherson Oblast. During this period they dropped two guided air bombs on the residential area of the settlement of Bersylav which is a city in Kherson Oblast. Due to this attack huge destruction was caused. Garages were destroyed, and windows in medical institution buildings and residential buildings were broken by a blast wave. Also, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged.
The settlement of Tiahynka was also struck. A 43-year-old man who was on the porch of his house during the attack received injuries incompatible with life. The settlement of Stanislav which is a village in Kherson Oblast was also attacked. Four people were wounded last night in Stanislav as a result of Russian attacks.
U.S. support to Ukraine
Joe Biden urged congressional Republicans to back a deal to provide more aid to Ukraine after provisions for Kyiv were left out of a stopgap funding bill. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says in a speech released Sunday that nothing will weaken his country’s fight against Russia.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov says he received reassurances about further military assistance in a telephone call with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Biden on Sunday said,” Republicans pledged to provide aid for Ukraine through a separate vote and that American support could not be interrupted “under any circumstances.”
